At shypilates, we aim to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all clients. These policies help us maintain a consistent and professional experience.

Class Etiquette
• Arrive at least 5–10 minutes before class to settle in and get ready.
• All classes start and finish as scheduled, please plan to arrive on time.
• Wear appropriate attire and bring water if needed.
• Phones should be silenced and stored away during class.
• Respect other clients and the instructor.

Booking & Cancellations
• All classes are 50 minutes in length.
• Please cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class to avoid forfeiting your class credit.
• Late cancellations (within 12 hours) will result in forfeiture of the class credit.
• No-shows (including failure to cancel) will result in forfeiture of the class credit and a $20.00 fee.
• Bookings can be made via our online booking platform.

Socks
• Reformer Pilates classes: Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene.
• Mat Pilates and Barre classes: Socks are required to keep the studio clean and for your safety.
Prefer a pair designed for Pilates? shypilates offers grip socks available for purchase in-studio.

Equipment
For mat Pilates and barre classes, please bring your own mat. This helps keep the studio clean and ensures you have the equipment that works best for you.

Health & Safety
• Consult a healthcare professional before starting any exercise program if you have injuries, medical conditions, or concerns.
• Please inform your instructor of any limitations before class begins.
• Use equipment safely and as instructed.

Personal Belongings
• We are not responsible for lost/stolen personal belongings.

Music & Class Environment
• Classes feature curated playlists that may include explicit lyrics.
• Our instructors may occasionally adjust pace, intensity, or exercises based on the group.

Studio Culture
• shypilates is a studio designed exclusively for women.
• We expect all clients to respect one another, the instructors, and the space. Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.
